The cottage is attached to Marshwood Farmhouse, a grade
II listed house dating from the 17th century. It has been tastefully renovated
and furnished, giving modern comforts whilst retaining many original features.
The accommodation comprises of sleeping for up to 4
people (A master bedroom with double bed, and a second room with full size bunk
beds).
As well as a fully fitted kitchen / dining room (with
dishwasher, microwave, cooker and fridge/freezer), comfortable lounge with TV /
DVD, plus a bath / shower room.
Marshwood Farm is set in the beautiful Wiltshire
countryside, ideal for walking, cycling and exploring places of interest.
Salisbury to the east offers many attractions - the
cathedral with its impressive spire and surroundings, a traditional market
(Tuesdays and Saturdays) in the market square, theatre, variety of restaurants,
shopping and guided tours or perhaps a day or evening at the races.
Maybe you are drawn to Wiltshire to visit Stonehenge and
Avebury or by chance the glimpse of a mysterious crop circle.
Wilton, a small market town with its Shopping Village,
Wilton House and Italianate style church is well worth a visit.
To the west of Marshwood a visit to Longleat, the safari
park, house and grounds, is recommended as a day out, with something for
everyone.
