Carngowil Farmhouse, Goodwick, Pembrokeshire
Carngowil Farmhouse is a tastefully renovated and refurbished, traditional stone farmhouse set in its own grounds dating from the 14th century.
Sitting on the hillside above Goodwick, the cottage relishes in views of Fishguard bay, framed by the distant Preseli hills, the Irish Sea and the coastline stretching towards Cardigan Bay.
The snuggery with its Inglenook fireplace and wood burning stove has a television and French doors open onto the beautiful private garden. From the snuggery a stairway leads to an oak floored twin bedroom (beds can be transformed to double), with en-suite shower, hand basin and w.c.
Outside, there is parking alongside the property and a garden area, perfect for relaxing outside with the whole family.
Within a few miles is Fishguard with its wealth of restaurants, galleries and shops. The ferry port at Fishguard sails to Rosslare where day trips to Ireland are available. St David’s Cathedral is well worth a visit and the neighbouring Bishop’s Palace.
Boat trips to and around various islands including Ramsey, Skomer and Skokholm. Visit them in the spring when the islands are covered in wild flowers and various seabirds including Puffins and Gannets are nesting or alternatively in the autumn when the seal pups are resting on inaccessible beaches.
