There are restaurants, bars, shops, cafes, a gym and leisure centre in Fortrose and the local area and an 18 hole golf course on the peninsula with Chanonry point at its tip, where the famous Moray Firth Dolphins can regularly be seen playing and feeding. 

Travelling to Clisham by car is recommended for those that wish to explore the many towns and villages of the Black Isle however there is a regular bus service that travels through to Dingwall and Inverness. Clisham is an excellent base for exploring the wider Highlands with inverness just 25 minutes’ drive, the Cairngorm National Park or the West Coast around an hour away.
