Ees Wyke Country House offers magnificent accommodation in Near Sawrey, a charming village in the English Lake District. Our glorious Georgian house near Hawkshead in Cumbria was once the holiday home of Beatrix Potter and now offers award-winning accommodation for an idyllic getaway.

We have a range of luxurious and high-quality bedrooms available, the perfect place to relax with an afternoon coffee after a day of sightseeing. You can choose from twin, king and super king rooms, all of which boast high-quality facilities.

You can savour award-winning food in our quintessential English dining room which enjoys stunning panoramic views. Our superb three-course dinner menu changes daily, and rest assured, we only use the best local produce from first-class local suppliers. A meticulously chosen wine list, from New World to French classics, accompanies our AA Rosette award-winning menu.

The local area has lots of activities/attractions for everyone to enjoy. Head to Brantwood House and Gardens, once the home of John Ruskin, to see his large collection of writings, drawings and watercolours. Adjacent to our house is Esthwaite Water, a brilliant spot for trout, pike, course and roach fishing. Further afield you can walk around the Coppermines Valley area and see the magical Lever Waterfalls.
