The rooms are warm, well equipped and en-suite. The beds are comfortable and the nights so quiet you may find it difficult to get up for breakfast. The breakfasts are leisurely and we serve locally produced product where possible with lots of choice for meat eaters and vegetarians alike.

Many of our guests are walking the Hadrian’s Wall long distance footpath, which is under a mile from Abbey Bridge. We have good clothes and boot drying facilities if the Cumbrian weather has been unfriendly and will welcome you with a hot drink and slice of cake.
