Herons is a cosy self catering cottage located in between the beach and harbour in the fishing village of Gardenstown, Aberdeenshire.
The cottage is down a quiet lane and is only 22 minutes from the town of Banff. This is a dog friendly village so we welcome up to 2 dogs in the self catering cottage.
The cottage is close to the shops, pub, harbour and beach. There are lots of wildlife and if you are lucky you will see dolphin and minke whale. There are seals and the occasional sea otter and at Troup Head the largest onshore gannet colony and many puffins and other seabirds during the breeding season.
This area is the perfect base for exploring the towns and villages around such as Pennan, Portsoy and Buckie. The locations of Aviemore and Cairngorms are great places to visit for a day trip as well as the Highlands.
