Stubcroft is uniquely situated in an area known since medieval times as "God's Pocket" for its warm, sunny location and sandy beaches. It is in the lee of the Isle of Wight, which provides a mild, dry local microclimate with one of the highest average sunshine hours on the UK mainland. Often the weather passes over us and is frequently much better than forecasted for elsewhere in the UK.
It is not unusual to be dry & sunny here even when raining in London, the home counties or even either side in Portsmouth or Brighton. Our site is well drained, sheltered by attractive hedges and has a friendly atmosphere making it an ideal camping location.
