Jessie’s Cottage is the end property of a traditional period Somerset long house. Recently refurbished, but retaining the original character, it sleeps 4 - 5 in 2 bedrooms.
The cottage is positioned in the peaceful village of Rodney Stoke at the foot of the Mendip Hills, convenient for Cheddar (3 miles) and the beautiful cathedral city of Wells (4 miles).
The walled lawns and garden at the rear of the property extend alongside the neighbouring owner’s cottage, which is occasionally occupied. All areas and equipment can be used by guests, with the exception of the locked lower garden.
The closest large cities are Bristol and Bath, less than 1 hour’s drive across the Mendips. The village of Rodney Stoke has remained little changed over the years.
The area is popular with walkers and cyclists. The Mendip Way passes close by.
There are many other designated walks over the Mendips and south to Glastonbury and the Somerset Levels.
