Old Radnor Barn B&B, Talgarth, Powys, The Brecon Beacons
Old Radnor Barn is designated a Grade II listed building by Cadw and dates back nearly 300 years.
Our bed and breakfast is set within the Brecon Beacons National Park at Talgarth in Powys, which is an area renowned for its scenic beauty and is an ideal base for holidays in Mid Wales, South Wales and the border towns of the Marches.
We offer a full choice breakfast menu including: continental, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, various fruit juices and our very special full Welsh breakfast with traditionally cured bacon and hand-made sausages from Morris Butchers of Blaenavon as featured in the BBC Wales Coal House series.
We pride ourselves on the quality of our food, browse the comment on our guest book page. When ever possible, we use fresh local produce, including our own garden fresh fruit and vegetables when in season. We cater for vegetarians, diabetics and people with various food intolerances. If you are unsure, please ask at the time of booking.
Situated on the western outskirts of Talgarth, the barn, not so long ago was an overnight resting place for stallions traveling to stud on the Great Western Railway. The railway has now gone but the small market town of Talgarth nestles peacefully in the foot hills of the Black Mountains.

The area is renowned for its scenic beauty and opportunities exist for most outdoor activities: walking, climbing, cycling, mountain biking, pot holing, pony trekking, gliding, hand gliding, together with the full range of water sports in the reservoirs and rivers of the area. The magical and tranquil lake of Llangorse (the largest natural lake in Wales) lies three miles to the west. The river Wye is only three miles to the east at Glassbury while the river Usk lies six miles to the west at Brecon.
