The building is a spacious Victorian stone-built villa in a hamlet on the western outskirts of Gilsland village straddling Cumbria and Northumberland.
Gilsland, an hour from the Lake District, is sited at the Western edge of the remote and beautiful Northumberland National Park and on to the breath taking beaches of the Northumberland coast.
Brookside Villa B&B is a quarter-mile from Hadrian’s Wall between Birdoswald Fort and Willowford, and is close to other historical sites, for example, Housesteads, Corbridge, Hexham, Vindolanda and Lanercost Priory.
The bed and breakfast is at the very heart of Hadrian’s Wall Country and the historical lands of the Border Reivers. We’re ideally situated for walkers on the famous Hadrian’s Wall Trail and those cycling Route 72 Hadrian’s Cycleway.
