Herdwick Croft Caravan Park, Bassenthwaite, Keswick, Cumbria
The caravan park is only 8 miles from the market town of Keswick on Derwentwater, and 5 miles from Cockermouth, the birthplace of Wordsworth and Fletcher Christian (author of Mutiny on the Bounty).

The picturesque Lakeland village of Bassenthwaite is only 2 miles away. Bassenthwaite Lake is ideal for those interested in watersports, Bassenthwaite Sailing Club is only one mile away where you can hire or launch a sailing dinghy, and the lake is excellent for windsurfing and canoeing or just relax on the lake shore enjoying the sun or a picnic.

Cockermouth golf course is only 2 miles away, there is horse riding nearby and one mile away is a fitness centre complete with swimming pool. Whinlatter forest is excellent for mountain biking with many different forest trails around the woodland area.

The property has a river running through it so visitors keen on fishing should bring their rods!
