Bach Wen Farm Cottages, Clynnog Fawr, Caernarfon, Gwynedd

Bach Wen is a tranquil and peaceful site overlooking Caernarfon Bay in North Wales. It can be found near the village of Clynnog Fawr, 7 miles to the west of Caernarfon. We lie on the beautiful Lleyn Peninsular, on the edge of Snowdonia National Park.

There is access to our own private beach. It is mostly rock and shingle but has sandy patches when the tide recedes and is safe for bathing and fishing. We allow dog owners to run their pets on the field between the cottages and the beach so long as they are supervised.

A private lane leads from the cottages down to bluebell glade and then onto the beach. On the left you will see the watermill which has now been converted to the Mill and Hayloft cottages. On the right you will see the slopes of Snowdonia National Park and the residents bar.

Golfers can enjoy the splendid links golf course at Nefyn (10 minutes drive), go-karting at Glasfryn, pony-trekking on Cader Idris and Abersoch is famed for its surfing and water sports community. Portmeirion (the classical Italian designed village on the coast) is within 25 minutes drive. There is the Welsh Slate Museum and Lake Railway at Llanberis and the moving and tragic tale of Beddgelert.
