The Cross Keys Inn is a superb real ale pub set in the heart of Somerset. Our traditional country pub is located in the village of Lydford-on-Fosse, between the two small market towns of Castle Cary and Somerton in Somerset. We serve great food and drink in a relaxed atmosphere.

Our inn has six en suite rooms which are accessed via a staircase with a handrail. The guest rooms are all well laid out and have their own private bathrooms. All of them have been nicely decorated and provide a charming base for exploring the West Country.

We pride ourselves on being a traditional English pub with ale poured straight from the barrel. Our food is traditional yet creative and we do our utmost to make use of the best local produce and sample our selection of award winning pies. 

The bar has open fires, a comfy sofa, daily newspapers and a comfortable atmosphere where everybody is welcome. Our inn is a focal point for the local community and is a great meeting place for clubs, groups and businesses to enjoy an informal get together, breakfast, morning coffee, lunch, dinner or evening entertainment. There are regular live music events for a variety of tastes, from traditional jazz to folk and rock. We also welcome any piano players who can get a good tune from our old upright piano in the real ale bar.

We are ideally positioned on the crossroads of the A37 and B3153 at Lyford on Fosse. There are a variety of interesting and fun places to visit including Wheathill Golf Club, Covey Fisheries, The Bath and West Showground, Stourhead, the Fleet Air From Museum, Haynes Motor Museum, Clarks Outlet Village, Glastonbury Tor & the city of Bath. There is plenty of things to do and there is something to suit all tastes.
