Landrace Cottage offers luxurious self catering accommodation in the beautiful village of Carlton Miniott. It is based in a tranquil location just two miles from Thirsk, making us a great base for exploring North Yorkshire.
The elegantly renovated cottage offers high-quality accommodation to suit all your needs. The cottage sleeps 4 people and boasts hand-crafted items of furniture, leather sofas, underfloor heating and a wood burner for the winter months.
The cosy open plan living area comes with comfy seating, a smart TV with Netflix, a DVD player, DAB radio, iPod dock, an oak dining table and chairs. A lovely space to unwind after a day exploring the area. Cook up some tasty dishes in the fully-equipped kitchen which has an electric oven and grill, electric hob, toaster, kettle, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher and washing machine.
Two attractive bedrooms are available: a double en suite and a twin room. The double comes with a DAB radio and docking station and the twin includes a clock radio. Both rooms include a hair dryer.
Outside there is a large, private gravelled seating/garden area with a table and chairs, plus a BBQ for al fresco dining when the sun is shining. A parasol is also available for shade. From the garden, you can savour glorious views of the paddock and fields.
The cottage is within reach of the traditional market town of Thirsk, home to The World of James Herriot, a museum based on the life of the acclaimed local vet. The whole family will love the Thirsk Birds of Prey Centre, whilst the Thirsk Museum offers plenty of local culture exhibits and memorabilia. Around 1 hour’s drive away are the charming coastal resorts of Whitby and Scarborough. The famous city of York is brimming with wonderful architecture and history and is just 25 miles away.
