Lower Damgate Farm Cottages offers bespoke accommodation in Dovedale near Ashbourne. Derbyshire. The Farm is an excellent base in which to explore the Peaks & surrounding areas.
All properties are part of a connected courtyard and boast in individual character. They are perfect for a long weekend, short stay or holiday with your friends and family in a countryside setting. Glorious views and scenic walks are available straight from the front door. The courtyard property includes Reubens Roost, Bremen’s Barn, Hope’s Hideaway and The Alpaca Hut. Around the cottages are south facing gardens as well as outside decking and seating areas where they have built three solid stone BBQ’s so you can cook for any occasion or taste. They also have B&B accommodation available in the farmhouse.
Reuben's Roost: The wonderful Grade II Listed barn conversion has been fitted to a high standard and retains a wealth of individual charm. Inside you will find exposed beams, wooden and flagged floors, with plush rugs throughout. The kitchen is fully equipped and comes with a dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker as well as enough crockery and utensils. The bespoke beds are comfortable and come with bed linen.
Bremen's Barn: This Grade II Listed barn conversion is ideal for large groups and has 4 bedrooms. The property is fully equipped and retains original features combined with the latest technology, gorgeous furnishings and lavish comfy beds. The living and kitchen areas are upstairs and run the length of the cottage with its beamed trusses and windows with views over the farm.
Hopes Hideaway: This charming cottage is tastefully furnished throughout and has 3 ground floor bedrooms close to the bathrooms and an upstairs bedroom. The cottage retains many original features and comes with modern facilities to suit all your needs. The living and kitchen areas are upstairs and run the length of the cottage.
The Alpaca Hut: This little shepherd hut is perfect for a romantic break. The quirky hut is luxurious and even comes with a wonderful hot tub to soak your muscles in. The perfect place to share a glass of bubbly with friends under the starry night sky.
Onsite they have a wonderful animal sanctuary for rescued farm animals. You are welcome to meet the animals and feed them.
They cater for weddings, offering a slightly quirky venue, with every wedding at the farm different – please enquire for details.
The farm is set in the Peak District National Park, nestling between the magnificent valleys of the River Dovedale and the Manifold. They are surrounded by National Trust land and are in an area of outstanding natural beauty. There are some amazing and stunning walks straight from the doorstep. Apart from self catering they also run a rescue centre for animals.
