Mill Cottage offers charming self catering accommodation in the quaint hamlet of Shedog. Based near Shiskine and only 2 miles from the seaside village of Blackwaterfoot, we are perfect for an idyllic break on the Isle of Arran.
Our 150-year-old cottage comes with everything you need for a relaxing getaway on the west coast. We offer modern accommodation and the cottage is tastefully furnished throughout.
Cook up a storm in the fully equipped kitchen that comes with a range of appliances, including an electric cooker, microwave and washing machine. Unwind in the cosy living/dining room after a day sightseeing, with patio doors that open to the rear garden. Facilities include a smart TV and DVD player.
On the first floor is a peaceful landing with a Velux window which brings in plenty of natural light, plus 2 twin rooms, including one with a second Velux window. A ground floor double room and bathroom with a shower over bath is also available.
All bed linen, bathroom and kitchen towels are included. Please note, towels are not provided.
We have 2 outdoor areas to enjoy, a small front garden and a rear garden. A slabbed terrace area comes with garden furniture, perfect for a morning coffee over a good book.
Our cottage is in the ideal location for discovering all that the area has to offer, near two of the seven Arran golf courses. Great activities to enjoy in the area include bowling, quad biking, tennis, trout fishing, golf, hand gliding, rock pools and beaches (2 miles away). Local hotels and clubhouses offer lovely places for a drink or two over some delicious food. One of the hotels has fitness facilities and a swimming pool.
