Glamping Retreat!
Caalm Camp in Stour Row offers outstanding glamping accommodation, perfect for the ultimate rural retreat. Our glamping site near Shaftesbury is nestled deep in the Dorset countryside and in a great location for exploring the area.
We have 6 hand-crafted yurts to choose from, based in a secluded field on our former dairy farm. All the yurts are finished to a high standard and each sleeps up to 6 people. Cots are available on request.
All our yurts include a double wrought iron bed, and two Victorian day beds, all dressed in quality linen. The yurts even have electricity for lighting and charging devices. There is a small stove with a Mongolian-style kettle and a wood burner in the centre is perfect for those chilly days.
Outside each yurt, there is a picnic area and sitting area including a BBQ for al fresco dining in the afternoon sun. You can huddle around the fire pit under the starry night sky.
Onsite facilities include:
Private shower room in the Old Haybarn which include under-floor heating, a large shower area and a toilet (1 minute away from each yurt).
Individual fridge in The Old Haybarn.
Use of a modern kitchen.
Communal lounge and dining area in the Old Haybarn.
Outdoor play areas for the children.
Indoor games room with table tennis and pool.
Free wood for your wood-burning stove and the fire pit.
Pizza Oven can be hired for £25.
Our yurts are perfect for exploring the great outdoors. Duncliffe Wood and Hambledon Hill are ideal for walkers and the next village has Todber Manor Fishing Lakes. Visit the town of Shaftesbury, home to shops, restaurants, cafes and tea rooms. See the abbey and castle in Sherborne or have a day at the races in Wincanton.
