Working Farm Holiday!
Penyrwrlodd Farm Cottage offers fabulous self-catering accommodation only one and a half miles outside of Hay-on-Wye. They have two properties that can be internally linked together, perfect for an idyllic group or family holiday in Powys.
Based on a working sheep farm, the properties enjoy wonderful countryside views and are furnished to a high standard. The Meeting House sleeps 6 – 9 people and Bryn Bwthyn sleeps 4 – 8 people. Both houses can be rented individually or together to sleep 17 people.
Meeting House
The newly converted house maintains many original features whilst offering modern accommodation. On the first floor is a large living room to unwind in. Facilities include a wood-burning stove, with sofas, a new flat-screen LED TV, DVD and basic Sky. A well-equipped kitchen includes a range of appliances: double oven, electric hob, microwave, large fridge, freezer, dishwasher and table and chairs. A door leads to a balcony area.
A games room is on the second floor, offering a 6’ billiard table and lots of games, flat screen TV, DVDs and a sofa bed.
On the ground floor, there is 1 king room, 1 king en suite, 1 twin that can be made into a double and a bathroom with a large bath with shower over. On the second floor is an en suite bedroom with 3 single beds. A further bathroom is on the first floor.
Outside they have a garden with garden furniture and BBQ for al fresco dining. A firepit is provided.
Bryn Bwthyn
They offer accommodation in this newly converted cottage that adjoins the Meeting House. The house combines original features and modern interiors. On the first floor, there are 2 living rooms to unwind after a day sightseeing. Both include sofas, a new flat screen LED TV, DVD and basic Sky. The larger living room has a wood-burning stove.
The well-equipped kitchen includes a range of appliances: double oven, electric hob, microwave, large fridge, dishwasher and table and chairs.
On the ground floor, there is 1 king en suite, 1 double and 2 twins that can be made as a double. Bathroom 1 has a large bath with a separate shower. Bathroom 2 has a large bath with shower.
Outside they have a patio with garden furniture and a BBQ, perfect for a glass of wine in the evening sun.
While staying here you can make the most of the local area. A 5-minute drive from us Glasbury-on-Wye, is ideal for canoeing or wild swimming. Llangorse Multi-Activty Centre has lots of activities, including an indoor climbing centre, dingle scramble, outdoor Skytrek, horse riding and multi-level challenge course on high ropes.
