The Strands & Screes Inn offers charming accommodation, delicious food and excellent cask ales in Nether Wasdale. We are in a gorgeous countryside setting near Seascale and ideally placed for exploring Cumbria.
Our inns are based in two buildings with lots of character and a different range of food and craft ales in each, nestled in the same location.
Rooms available include single, double/twin and executive rooms. All the rooms are well equipped with tea and coffee-making facilities, Wi-Fi, a TV and en suite facilities.
The Stands offers a tasty menu to suit all tastes, offering something for everyone. From fish pie to rump steak, there is something for everyone. Both inns have won awards, with the Strands being nominated as one of the top 10 places for vegan food.
Our microbrewery offers fantastic craft ales exclusively for our inn. We also have the Strands Distillery which offers dry gin, available at the Strands and Screes Inns.
We are in a great position to explore the area. Locally lots of walking and cycling routes can be enjoyed. You can visit nearby towns or visit one of Cumbrian’s famous sights.
