Coullabus Keeper's Cottage, Bridgend, Isle of Islay

Coullabus Keeper's Cottage is a traditionally built detached house nestled near the RSPB Loch Gruinart Nature Reserve at the northern end of the picturesque Isle of Islay. This tranquil setting is perfect for wildlife enthusiasts. Despite its secluded location, the cottage is conveniently central, with the villages of Bridgend and Bruichladdich just a ten-minute drive away.

We provide accommodation in a double and a twin room, each equipped with en-suite bathrooms and tea/coffee-making facilities.

Guests can enjoy a varied seasonal menu in our dining room and unwind by an open fire with a TV in the guest sitting room during the evenings. Start your day with our homemade jams and marmalade, a fresh fruit salad, a full Scottish breakfast and a vegetarian option, all served in our cosy dining room.

Wireless Internet is accessible throughout the cottage, and there is plenty of off-road parking available for up to 4 cars.

Afternoon tea is offered before 5pm, and tea/coffee is served upon arrival. We recommend booking your first evening meal before arriving on Islay to ensure availability.

The cottage’s rural setting and minimal light pollution provide an excellent opportunity for stargazing. We are committed to sustainability, utilizing solar and air-source technologies to heat the home and reduce our carbon footprint.

Islay is one of the Inner Hebridean islands and is located off the west coast of Scotland. It is well known for its whisky, like its neighbour Jura and is home to numerous distilleries that produce popular single malts.
