Formerly home to a crofting family, Craigton Croft House is now a charming seaside cottage offering comfortable accommodation for up to six guests. Nestled between the peaceful shoreline of Loch Carron and the iconic Kyle railway line, the property lies in Attadale, on the edge of one of the Highlands' most picturesque lochs. With spectacular views of Skye’s Cuillin ridge to the west and the dramatic Bealach Na Ba mountain pass to the north, Craigton provides a setting that is as inspiring as it is tranquil.
Unique Highland Character
The cottage’s eclectic interior features a delightful mix of antique pieces and curated treasures, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere with plenty of personality. The sitting room, with its exposed beams and cosy wood-burning stove, is perfect for relaxed evenings. A family-sized dining table in the dining area offers lochside views, making every mealtime a scenic experience.
The compact but well-equipped kitchen includes a cooker, microwave, fridge, and freezer, ensuring guests have everything they need for a self-catering stay. Craigton offers three bedrooms:
One double and one twin on the ground floor
A second double bedroom tucked into the characterful eaves upstairs
There is one bathroom, and an additional shower room with a washing machine for added convenience.
Outdoor Living & Lochside Access
Outside, guests will find pretty, mature gardens that lead directly to the loch through a small gate. A terrace with outdoor furniture and a barbecue provides a wonderful setting for al fresco dining, surrounded by mountain and water views.
Electric heating, bed linen, and an initial supply of firewood are all included in the rental. A travel cot and highchair are available on request, and one well-behaved dog is welcome by prior arrangement at the time of booking.

Guests can immerse themselves in the surrounding natural beauty with easy access to:
Shoreline walks and wildlife spotting
Wild swimming, kayaking, or gentle paddling (please bring own equipment)
Simple seaside joys such as stone skimming, pond dipping, and kite flying
As evening falls, a lochside barbecue featuring the day’s local catch offers a magical Highland dining experience. As night draws in, the twinkle of cottage lights and a glowing fire invite guests to wind down with a warming toddy or hot chocolate, completing a truly memorable day in the Highlands.
