Howgills Hideaway is a unique countryside getaway where comfort and nature combine to create the perfect escape. Nestled on the edge of both the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales, it offers guests the opportunity to explore some of the most scenic landscapes in the UK while enjoying welcoming and thoughtfully designed accommodation.

The site provides a variety of options to suit different needs. Orchard Cabin sleeps four and is designed with luxury in mind, featuring a king-sized bed, sofa bed, en suite facilities and a fully equipped kitchenette. Guests can make use of a private patio with a dining set, BBQ, gas pizza oven, outdoor rainfall shower, wood-fired sauna and a spacious outdoor bath for two, creating the ultimate setting for relaxation.

Ellergill, a megapod sleeping four, combines style and practicality with a double bed, sofa bed, kitchenette and en suite facilities. It also includes a private decking area with dining furniture, BBQ and an outdoor bath. The standard glamping pods sleep four and feature a double bed and sofa bed, a kitchenette and access to the luxury “shoilet” block with family bathrooms. Each has a private decking area complete with dining space and BBQ.

Families or groups of up to six may prefer the static caravans, which provide double and twin bedrooms, a sofa bed, bathroom, kitchen and a private garden area with outdoor dining and BBQ facilities. For a more traditional glamping experience, the Blossom Bell Tent sleeps four and includes a double bed, two single beds, a private toilet and shower, a shared camp kitchen and a spacious garden with picnic bench, firepit and 360-degree views.

Extra features enhance the stay, from reliable 4G signal and Freeview TV to breakfast baskets, BBQ meat packs, homemade meals and packed lunches delivered to your door. Evenings can be enjoyed around the firepit with marshmallows or popcorn, while the honesty shop offers treats, bakes, local ice cream and essentials. Children are well catered for with a large trampoline, board games, DVDs and giant Jenga, while dogs are welcomed with open space to explore and even a paw wash on site.

The surrounding area is rich in things to see and do. Walking trails begin on the doorstep, and nearby attractions include Kendal Castle, Sizergh, Kendal Museum and the Lakeland Museum. The Lake District National Park is close at hand, offering endless opportunities for hiking, cycling and sightseeing.

Howgills Hideaway is ideal for those seeking a balance of adventure and tranquillity, providing modern comforts in a setting that celebrates the beauty of the natural world. It is a place where families, couples, groups and even four-legged companions can relax, explore and create lasting memories.
