The cottage features a spacious open-plan living and dining area, complete with a wood-burning stove, Freeview TV and an Aga, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. A separate fully equipped kitchen includes an oven, hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine, ensuring guests have everything needed for a comfortable stay. On the first floor, there are two bedrooms: one double room, and another double room that also includes a single bed and bunk beds, allowing the cottage to sleep up to six guests. A sofa bed in the living room provides additional accommodation if required. The large house bathroom is fitted with a roll-top bath and a separate shower cubicle.
Accessed by a single track, the cottage forms part of a traditional Cumbrian farmhouse surrounded by open countryside. Guests can enjoy far-reaching views of the Southern Fells from the front, as well as the coastal surroundings and the rhythm of daily farm life. Parts of the cottage date back to the 1700s, and its history is evident in features such as the original slate flooring, the warmth of the Aga and the characterful fireplace with a wood burner.
The west coast of Cumbria offers a wealth of attractions and activities, all within easy reach. Families can enjoy visits to Muncaster Castle or take a scenic ride on the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway. Walkers have excellent access to Scafell Pike at the far end of the Wasdale Valley, while the wide, open sands of Seascale beach provide plenty of space for all ages, including dogs. Nearby opportunities include golf, horse riding and dining at respected local restaurants. The owner can arrange hampers of locally sourced produce for arrival, and guests may request a pre-arranged tour of the farm. With a beach just three miles away and a shop, pub and restaurant within half a mile, Harebeck Cottage offers both convenience and seclusion in equal measure.
