The cottage has been finished to a high standard while retaining its traditional charm. Features such as underfloor heating, quarry tiles and original wooden beams create a warm and characterful atmosphere throughout. After a day of sightseeing or walking, guests can relax in the lounge in front of the log burner, with a selection of DVDs available for quieter evenings. The fully equipped kitchen includes a range of modern appliances, and a separate dining room provides a welcoming space for shared meals.
There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms, including a shared Jack and Jill bathroom upstairs. Quality linen is provided, ensuring a comfortable stay. The cottage is family friendly, with a travel cot, highchair, stairgate, Moses basket and baby bath available on request. The wooden pod offers flexible sleeping arrangements with twin beds or a large double, and includes heating, a WC, washbasin, wardrobe and television.
Outside, the enclosed garden offers a peaceful setting for al fresco dining, with a barbecue available for guests to enjoy. The surrounding countryside is ideal for walkers and cyclists, with direct access to woodland walks right from the doorstep. Several towns, including Ashbourne, Buxton, Cheadle, Leek and Uttoxeter, are all within a 30 minute drive, offering a range of attractions, shops and dining options. Visitors can also explore nearby National Trust properties or visit The Gladstone Pottery Museum in Longton.
