The accommodation is spacious and thoughtfully arranged. The conservatory provides additional seating and opens onto a patio with views over the canal. A large farmhouse dining table sits at the heart of the dining room, adjacent to a fully equipped kitchen complete with a cooker, fridge-freezer, microwave and dishwasher.
On the first-floor attic level, guests will find a twin bedroom and a single bedroom, both with sloping ceilings, as well as a snug lounge area. This additional space, furnished with sofas, a TV and a DVD player, provides a peaceful retreat for teenagers or those seeking a quiet reading corner.
The outdoor spaces at Waterside Cottage are equally appealing. A large lawn with picnic benches, a terrace overlooking the canal and a back garden with a barbecue offer plenty of options for outdoor relaxation. Guests can access the canal towpath directly and enjoy fishing or boating, with buoyancy aids provided. Those with their own canoe or dinghy are welcome to bring them along, and members of the British Canoe Union can make use of the canal without a licence. Parking for up to four cars is available on-site, with additional spaces close by.
