Great House Farm Glamping, Llandeilo Graban, Builth Wells, Powys

Great House Farm is set high above the Wye Valley, enjoying far-reaching views across the surrounding countryside that stretch towards Hay-on-Wye and, on clear days, the distant peaks of the Brecon Beacons. This peaceful and scenic location provides an ideal setting for guests looking to escape the everyday and enjoy a slower pace of life, where comfort sits naturally alongside the beauty of the landscape.

Each glamping pod at Great House Farm has been thoughtfully designed with luxury and outdoor living in mind. Guests can enjoy a British-made hot tub, private decking, a patio area with seating, internet access and a bespoke wood-fired fire pit. Whether soaking in the hot tub beneath the stars or starting the day with a quiet coffee while taking in the views, every element has been carefully considered to enhance the overall experience.

The site offers a range of pods to suit different types of stay. Two four-person pods, each featuring a double bed and sofa bed, are particularly well suited to couples while still offering the flexibility to accommodate up to four guests. The Chwefru Pod is positioned at the edge of the site, providing added privacy and uninterrupted countryside views, making it especially popular with guests looking to fully switch off. The Irfon Pod, centrally located, also sleeps up to four and looks out across the surrounding fields, where guests can enjoy watching the farm animals and soaking up the rural atmosphere.

For those travelling as a family or in larger groups, the Wye Pod offers accommodation for up to six guests. It includes a double bedroom, sofa bed, bunk beds, a private bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen, providing extra space and convenience. The Severn Pod is the largest option available and is the first triple pod of its kind in the UK. Sleeping up to eight guests, it features a king bedroom, a double bedroom, a sofa bed and bunk beds, along with a full kitchen, private bathroom and a cosy seating area with a flame-effect fire. Its sweeping valley views make it a popular choice for group stays and special occasions.

In addition to the glamping pods, Great House Farm also offers self-catering accommodation within a beautifully renovated farmhouse that sleeps up to ten guests. Inside, the farmhouse provides a warm and welcoming space, with a cosy sitting room complete with a wood burner and smart TV, a library and games room suitable for all ages, and a traditional kitchen designed for relaxed family meals. The accommodation includes four bedrooms with luxury bedding, comprising a spacious master bedroom alongside additional double and twin rooms. Guests also have access to both an en-suite shower room and a bathroom with a roll-top bath. Outside, the garden features decking, a large hot tub, seating for alfresco dining and a fire pit that can also be used as a barbecue, creating an inviting space to relax and socialise.

The surrounding area offers plenty of opportunities for exploring on foot, with a variety of walks nearby including routes to Llandeilo Graban Church, Llandeilo Hill and Twyn y Garth. Around 25 miles away, the Elan Valley is home to a series of man-made lakes and offers a visitor centre with a café, as well as numerous walking and cycling routes. Pen y Fan, also approximately 25 miles from the farm, is the second-highest peak in Wales and rewards those who reach the summit with impressive views across the Bristol Channel, the Gower Peninsula and the Cambrian Mountains.
