On entering the cottage, a short flight of six steps leads to the dining room, with the remainder of the living accommodation arranged across a single level. The property retains many original features, including stripped wooden floorboards in the dining room and bedrooms, as well as exposed granite walls and ceiling beams in the dining area. These elements create a bright and airy atmosphere, complemented by views overlooking the lush meadow gardens. Carefully chosen furnishings and fixtures enhance the cottage’s unique charm while ensuring a comfortable stay.
Guests are welcomed with a selection of tea, coffee and biscuits, and thoughtful essentials such as washing-up liquid, salt, pepper and hand soap are provided. All bed linen and towels are professionally cleaned and included within the rental.
The cottage is exceptionally well furnished. The living room features a leather suite, television, video and DVD players, music centre, telephone and WiFi, along with an open gas fireplace with a flame effect for added ambience. The dining room includes a table that extends to seat six comfortably. Sleeping accommodation comprises a double bedroom with a washbasin and Victorian wrought iron bed, a twin bedroom with antique pine beds, and a third bedroom with full-size bunk beds and a travel cot. The kitchen is equipped with a washer/dryer, full-size cooker and microwave, while the bathroom includes a full-size bath with shower. Full central heating ensures year-round comfort.
