Tredarrup Holiday Cottages, Treveighan, Bodmin, North Cornwall

Tredarrup Farm offers four luxurious, dog-friendly holiday cottages surrounded by seven acres of countryside and within easy reach of the North Cornwall coast. With accommodation sleeping between two and six guests, the farm provides options for couples, families and groups looking for a comfortable base for exploring Cornwall.

The farm has more than 700 years of history and includes a historic farmhouse and Grade II listed 18th-century stone barns. These former agricultural buildings have been carefully converted into self catering cottages, retaining features such as stone walls, oak beams and granite floors while adding modern comforts including ultra-fast WiFi and bean-to-cup coffee machines.

Mill Barn is the largest of the four cottages and sleeps six guests. Converted from the farm’s former grain store, it has an impressive upstairs living area with a vaulted ceiling, original oak beams and countryside views. There is a farmhouse-style kitchen, comfortable lounge with a fire and a separate snug with a large sofa and TV. Downstairs are three double bedrooms with Egyptian cotton bedding and two bathrooms, including one with a large roll-top bath. Outside, the historic gin-gang provides a covered space for dining and family BBQs, while a fire pit is available for evenings outdoors.

Sleeping four, Stable Cottage was once home to the farm’s horses and still retains reminders of its past, including original granite flagstone floors. The open-plan living area includes a farmhouse-style kitchen, breakfast area and lounge with a large corner sofa and fire. There are two bedrooms with Egyptian cotton bed linen, including a master with an en-suite rainfall shower. The second bedroom can be arranged with twin beds or a super king, while the family bathroom includes a rainfall shower and roll-top bath. A private fenced woodland garden provides countryside views, space to relax and a fire pit for evenings outside.

Shippon sleeps two and has been converted from an 18th-century cattle shed. Granite walls, vaulted beamed ceilings and oak flooring add character to the cottage, while the open-plan living space includes a wood-burning stove, comfortable seating and a well-equipped country-style kitchen. The king-size bedroom has a Hypnos bed, Egyptian cotton bedding and blackout blinds, while the en-suite shower room includes natural toiletries, bathrobes and fluffy towels. Double doors lead to a private courtyard with seating, sun loungers and space for a BBQ. Guests also have access to a shared garden and paddock.

Also sleeping two, The Wagon occupies the farm’s original cart shed and provides another option for a couple’s break. Its stone walls and oak beams are complemented by a wood-burning stove and a light open-plan living, kitchen and dining area. The bedroom has a French oak king-size bed with a Hypnos mattress, while the en-suite features a spacious walk-in rainfall shower, luxury toiletries, bathrobes and fluffy towels. Outside is a private seating area with sun loungers and space for a BBQ.

Dogs are an important part of the experience at Tredarrup Farm, with four-legged guests welcomed across the cottages. Seven acres of countryside provide space to enjoy the outdoors, while the wider area offers plenty more opportunities for walking together.

North Cornwall is particularly well suited to dog-friendly holidays, with coastal paths, open countryside, moorland and a wide choice of dog-friendly beaches to discover. Guests can spend their days walking beside the sea, exploring the countryside or visiting different parts of the Cornish coast before returning to the quieter surroundings of the farm.

With four individual cottages, plenty of outdoor space and a location within easy reach of the coast, Tredarrup Farm offers a practical choice for both dog-friendly holidays and traditional countryside breaks in North Cornwall.
