Those looking for a glamping experience can choose one of eight wigwams, four of which have recently been refurbished. Each comes equipped with a television, kettle, mini fridge and microwave, as well as its own BBQ and picnic bench for outdoor dining. A shared campers’ kitchen is also available.
The park’s bespoke shepherd huts provide another appealing option for couples or small groups. Sleeping two to three people, they offer additional home comforts including an en suite shower and WC, a king-size Duvalay mattress, micro kitchen and television. Each hut also has a picnic bench outside for making the most of the estate setting.
Families and larger groups may prefer one of Mortonhall’s caravan holiday homes. Two-bedroom models sleep up to six people, while three-bedroom options accommodate up to eight. Each holiday home includes comfortable bedrooms, a living area, fully fitted kitchen and its own shower and toilet facilities. Selected accommodation also features a balcony, providing additional space in which to sit back and relax.
With such a varied choice of places to stay, Mortonhall Caravan and Camping Park offers plenty of flexibility for an Edinburgh getaway. Whether visitors arrive with a tent, motorhome or touring caravan or choose the extra comforts of a wigwam, shepherd hut or holiday home, they can enjoy the unusual combination of a countryside atmosphere and easy access to one of Scotland’s most fascinating cities.
