The Bull Inn was built in 1510, the Royal Oak in
1846 was a tavern and the Crown Inn is thought to date from the 18th century.
All rooms have tea/coffee making facilities,
central heating, a hairdryer and TV.
The Bluebell Railway, Lewes, Plumpton Racecourse,
and several National Trust Gardens are close by. Brighton, Gatwick and
Glyndebourne are 30 minutes away by car.
The village sign on the green was erected for the
Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II in 1973. The sign includes strawberries
and Leveller gooseberries, depicting the soft fruit production of the village
in times past.
