Dairy Cottage is located at Cowgrove Farm, Ropley and is a four star self-catering cottage located in the heart of the Hampshire countryside. Spoil yourself with the fine scenery, country walks and a wide range of local attractions.
Dairy Cottage sleeps 5 people and is located on a small
working farm in a rural conservation area.
It was converted into a holiday cottage in 1982 when we stopped milking
cows. The farm continues to be run as a small holding, where we make hay and
silage to feed to the cattle during the winter months.
Dairy Cottage is situated between the Cathedral City of
Winchester and the market towns of Alton and Petersfield. Nearby is the pretty
town of Alresford where the River Arle flows into a lake constructed to provide
fishing as well as a reservoir for the River Itchen navigation. Here one can
take a pleasant stroll along the river past the old Fulling Mill and watch the
trout swimming nonchalantly about the river amongst the ducks and moorhens.
