Iridium, Mudeford, Christchurch, Hampshire

Iridium is a spectacular curved contemporary 4 storey house on the edge of Christchurch Harbour, near Bournemouth on the South Coast and on the edge of the new Forest.

The contemporary large cottage is located within the grounds of the Christchurch Harbour hotel, and benefits from the hotel's facilities on site which include a wonderful spa and indoor pool complex. The harbour is ideal for dinghy sailing, windsurfing and kayaking, we have a jetty and small slipway for sailing dinghies, kayaks, rowing boats and windsurfers.

Patio furniture is supplied so you can appreciate the outdoors and the harbour views. Local shops opposite, many more in Christchurch - just a short drive, walk, or boat ride away! Bournemouth and Poole are nearby and also easily accessible by boat, mooring available on request. You can book our luxury motorboat to take you to the Isle of Wight, Poole, Portsmouth or simply a Solent cruise, directly from the hotel jetty.

Christchurch in turn adjoins Bournemouth, which was built as a 'new' resort town in Victorian times and has some of the best sandy beaches on the South Coast, as well as the shops and nightlife the famous seaside town has to offer.

As well as the excellent spa and pool facilities on site, there are two restaurants including Rhodes South/The Jetty who can also deliver room service to the house on request. Booking is advised before your stay to dine at either restaurant. Alternatively book our chefs and waiters to provide a full restaurant experience in the cottage's own large kitchen/dining space or al fresco on the large deck with views over the harbour.

Mudeford has village shops, cafés and pubs, and just a few minutes walk from Iridium brings you to Avon beach, a wonderful sandy beach with facilities including a beach café. Mudeford adjoins Christchurch which has a large priory church and grounds with numerous footpaths meandering between river and town through historic parts which can make a very interesting afternoon's walk. There are ancient ruins which you can visit on one riverside, and within a few minutes be in the town, then through to the main quay on the other side where the quayside park with a bandstand and excellent childrens playground and new free waterpark, public slipway for motorboats and foot ferry offering river cruises, really has something for everyone.
