The Thornton Hunt Inn is a traditional Freehouse set in an attractive
grade II listed building which dates back to around the Eighteenth Century. It
has been said that King Henry the Eighth stayed on this site while visiting
Thornton Abbey.
We have extended our grade II listed building to encompass a number of
single, double, twin and family bedrooms. We have attained a “Visit England”
grading of “Four Stars – Inn”. Our accommodation area has its own entrance
which is controlled by a numbered combination lock and allows guests to come
and go as they please.
In our garden the children's fun trail challenges the kids to complete a
climbing frame type course without touching the floor. The area is securely
fenced off from the road and the car park area but parents are asked to
supervise their children whilst on the fun trail.
