Broadgate is a traditional Georgian guest house, built in 1819 with
stunning views across the Duddon Estuary, located in Millom, Cumbria.
The fine proportions and subtle beauty of the guest house and gardens
compliment the idyllic rural setting wonderfully well. On entering, the visual
feast continues as a series of sumptuously decorated reception rooms radiate
from the light and airy hall. A Baroque drawing room features a magnificent and
imposing black marble fireplace and offers majestic easterly views across
rolling Lakeland fells.
Broadgate makes the perfect base for touring the Western Lake District
by foot, bicycle or car, taking in the pleasures of this beautiful area without
the crowds. Sporting types can choose from a number of lovely golf courses,
ride the renowned Cumbrian heavy horses along the beach and through the fells,
enjoy the beach at Silecroft and the watersports at Coniston among many other
activities.
