Gesail farmhouse and barn is self catering accommodation based in
Pennal, Machynlleth in Powys. The traditional farmhouse (sleeps 6) and modern
conversion of a barn (sleeps 2) nestle at the end of a breath-taking valley in
Snowdonia National Park, North Wales.
Gesail makes the perfect destination for weekends away, family holidays,
retreats and workshops. The house and BARN are available for rent separately or
together in 690 acres of private land. A recent award was presented to us for
the sensitive conservation of old buildings by the Campaign for the
Preservation of Rural Wales.
This self catering accommodation is a perfect place to unwind and
discover the pleasures of Snowdonia National Park, Gesail is a secret hideaway
at the top of the Cywarch Valley, across a ford, not suitable for sports cars,
with enchanting walks, climbs, rare birds, riding, canoeing, swimming and
fishing nearby. The land around the guest house contains woodland, many streams
and waterfalls and a mountain with the highest lake in Wales at the summit - if
you can find it! The stars in the night sky can be amazingly bright and clear –
take your telescope or binoculars!
