Chalkdell is a spacious self catering Georgian-fronted farmhouse with
outstanding views overlooking open fields towards the Misbourne Valley and
Great Missenden. Three guest bedrooms (including one four-poster and two
en-suite) accommodate up to six people, plus a cot available; there is an open
fire in the sitting room, with central heating though out.
Relax in the spacious lounge on a lovely selection of seating including
a Victorian Chaise Longue, large leather sofa and a beautifully snug, locally
made settee. Enjoy a view of the garden from the south, or the farm-yard from
the north window.
The flat-screen television receives Freeview channels, and there is a
selection of DVDs as well as board games and cards. The bureau-book-case
contains a good selection of reading matter, including some wildlife identification
guides. The house is well centrally heated, but if you prefer an open fire,
there’s a basket of logs and fire guard for safety.
