The Three Wheat Heads Inn is situated in Thropton near Rothbury at the edge of the Norhtumberland National Park.
Our inn has comfortable guest rooms a relaxing pub atmosphere and tasty food that is sure to suit any of our customers whether they stay overnight or just stop in for lunch.
The food is superb at the inn and after a good night's sleep there is nothing better than a hearty breakfast. We can provide an early morning wake up call and breakfast if you have an important meeting to attend or make a delicious picnic hamper or packed lunch for you to take with you when visiting the region. A full cooked Northumbrian or continent style breakfast is available.
Northumberland is a beautiful part of England and is very popular with fisherman, especially on the River Coquet. Salmon and trout, amongst others, are caught on a regular basis. Fishing licences can be purchased locally and the river is only 200 metres from our doorstep. The Three Wheat Heads Inn has the fishing rights to the stretch of the River Coquet that runs along the bottom of our field.
