Hoo Cottage, Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire, The Cotswolds
A delightful 17th century mellow Cotswold stone thatched cottage tucked away in a quiet residential area near the heart of Chipping Campden.
Hoo Cottage is the quintessential Cotswold stone, thatched cottage. Its first registered owners lived here from 1639 when King Charles I was on the throne and the English Civil War still three years hence. Almost 400 years later it is Grade II listed and tucked away in a quiet residential area of Chipping Campden.
The cottage will transport you back in time but without 17th century discomforts! Its low ceilings, exposed beams, flagstone floors, log fire and uneven walls are redolent of times past but the gas central heating makes it a cosy holiday home.
The cottage garden with its flower and shrub borders provide a secluded haven from the outside world. It is an ideal retreat with a good book or for a sundowner on a pleasant summer evening.
