Fisherground Lodges offer self catering accommodation in the heart of Eskdale, one of the quieter and most beautiful valleys in the Lake District.
The three pine lodges, Barn Garth, Field End and Wood Bank share the acre of orchard with the ancient apple trees and the stream that opens out to the raft pool. What could be nicer than to sit out on the veranda with a gin and tonic and watch the world go by. All three face south and the orchard is a natural sun trap.
With a large sunny outdoor area and fantastic views of the surrounding fells, Fisherground is an ideal base for exploring the awesome mountains, rivers and lakes in the area.
Fisherground is a wonderful starting point for hundreds of walks, either on the fells or along the banks of the River Esk, with tumbling waterfalls and magnificent clear pools to swim in.
For the more adventurous, we have links with the local lake district outdoor activity specialist and can help you organise guided walks, rock climbing, ghyll scrambling, kayaking etc.
