Strathlene is a two bedroom apartment offering high quality self catering accommodation in the Scottish Highlands, located close to the village of Gairloch in Ross-Shire. The self catering apartment is set on the hillside and has spectacular panoramic views over Loch Gairloch and the Torridon Mountains.
The self catering apartment has one double room and a twin room which can also be configured as a double. There is a separate bathroom with shower over bath.
The kitchen is fully equipped with electric double oven, electric hob, fridge/freezer, microwave oven and washing machine, with bright open plan dining area which seats 4 comfortably.
The lounge has ample comfortable seating, widescreen TV and DVD player. There is also free Wi-Fi in the self catering apartment. Please note there is no smoking permitted in the apartment.
The village of Gairloch itself is a 10 minute walk away and offers visitors clean sandy beaches, mini cruises on the loch to spot seals, dolphins and porpoises. There is also an excellent golf course and opportunities for fishing, cycling, pony trekking and birdwatching and some of the best and most varied walking and climbing in the UK.
Other local activities include visiting the world famous Inverewe Gardens at Poolewe and the Gairloch Heritage Museum. Gairloch also has a leisure centre providing many sporting activities and there is an indoor swimming pool at Poolewe.
While staying in Gairloch you will find a great choice of pubs and fine restaurants and, in all seasons, there are ceilidhs and live music evenings. Nearby in Strath, you will find a newsagent, fish and chip shop, well stocked convenience store, post office and an award winning butcher’s shop.
