Holmhead Cottage is a 300 year old cottage that is situated in the heart of Royal Deeside, outside of Logie Coldstone near Abyone. Our holiday cottage is set within 2 acres of its own grounds and is a wonderful and secluded base for those who are looking for a relaxing break away to the beautiful Scottish county of Aberdeenshire.
Built in the early 1700's by the owner's forefathers and lived in continuously until 1976 when it was inherited by Jim & Alison. Holmhead stands in 2 acres of its own land, surrounded by trees and forest.
Logie Coldstone village is a 2 minute walk from Holmhead. Logie Coldstone and the surrounding area are steeped in history and you will not be short of finding fun and interesting things to see and do during your stay. Visit one of the beautiful historic buildings including Balmoral Castle and 'Royals' Church at Crathie.
All bookings run from Saturday to Saturday. When you have paid for your holiday you will be sent details of how to find our cottage and where to collect the keys etc. Please advise us of your estimated arrival time, which should be after 2pm. On your departure day we ask you to leave the cottage by 10am, so that it can be cleaned for the next arrivals.
One of the best ways to appreciate our landscape is to go out by foot along many of the well established hill walking trails. You may even be lucky enough to spot one of our famous red squirrels! If taking to the snow covered hills is more your idea of fun, we are just a 40 minute drive from The Letch Ski Centre that have many activities all year round.
