Textittle Quarme are six stone cottages in a superb Somerset secluded south facing location set amid 18 acres and lovely gardens 1,000 foot above sea level at the head of the Quarme Valley. We are located in the village of Wheddon Cross within the Exmoor National Park.
Each cottage has a secure cottage style garden or patio with garden furniture amid well kept larger gardens and grounds where guests are free to roam. All are equipped, serviced and furnished to a very high standard. Little Quarme offers luxury cottages at a reasonable price. And someone is always here to give you a warm welcome, local knowledge and old fashioned hospitality.
Little Quarme Cottages offer discerning guests a very rare combination of top quality accommodation amid lovely well kept gardens and grounds not a place of manicured lawns but country cottage style and very rural with no air, light or traffic pollution. Large ancient pond filled with wildlife.
Stable Cottage is south and east facing with lovely views from the lounge and bedrooms. It is the largest cottage in floor area. Private sunny patio with garden furniture.
Rose Cottages faces west with views across the gardens. Private sunny walled south facing garden overlooking the more formal lawns.
Dunkery Cottage facing westerly has a lovely open position with a private walled patio with garden furniture. This cottage gets superb sunsets. The kitchen window and double bedroom have wonderful views down the valley. Parking for one car is directly on one side of the cottage.
Quarme Cottage has a stunning south facing open position facing straight down the Quarme Valley. Lounge windows facing east and west. Small enclosed garden with garden furniture. To the front of the cottage is a large area of grass and a picnic table under a huge Beech tree with panoramic rural views.
Winsford Cottage slightly higher than Exford Cottage and facing east and west and all on the ground floor it is our smallest cottage, very cosy and intimate with a lovely outlook over the grounds.
Exford Cottage facing east and west has the largest fenced secure cottage garden with a wide flower boarder separating and giving privacy from Winsford Cottage. The garden has lovely views is equipped with garden furniture, scented Honeysuckle and Clematis fence. Parking just around the corner in the car park.
Enjoy the sun on the newly decked area over looking the pond and with stunning views down the Quarme Valley where you can occasionally spot wild Exmoor red deer basking in the evening sunshine and buzzards soaring overhead.
