The beautiful village of Edzell is described as the 'jewel in the crown of Angus'. In the 1840's it was completely rebuilt with Victorian rectitude a mile to the west of its original site. The village also offers picturesque riverside walks through spectacular scenery from Gannochy Bridge to the Rocks of Solitude, where salmon leap to reach their spawning ground.
