Arosfa Cottage is a lovely self catering cottage set amidst dramatic mountain scenery in the pretty village of Beddgelert at the foot of Snowdon, Gwynedd. Arosfa Cottage is one of a row of pretty stone-built cottages located at the foot of Snowdon and opposite the clear waters of the River Glaslyn.
Built as a copper miners cottage in the 1830s, Arosfa (which means "rest here" in English) is immaculately presented to provide very comfortable accommodation for 2 people.
Beddgelert is a great base for exploring Snowdonia. All around is spectacular scenery, a mix of mountains, lakes, woodlands, and streams.
The recently reopened Welsh Highland Railway runs through Beddgelert (the station is a 5 minute walk from Arosfa Cottage). From the village station, trains run through spectacular scenery either below Snowdon to Caernarfon, or through the dramatic Aberglaslyn Pass to Porthmadog.
