Brungasta is a traditional stone built house, part of which is over 100 years old but it now has a brand new two storey extension consisting of three double bedrooms, and two bathrooms one of which is en suite. 

Shetland hosts the biggest Fire Festival in Europe called "Up Helly Aa". This Festival is always held on the last Tuesday in January in Lerwick but there are also smaller fire festivals held in various rural communities and these are held between January and March every year.
