Caroline Cottage is an unusually spacious and light house located within the beautiful Cornish seaside village of Mousehole, near Penzance. Mousehole is a perfect base for exploring West Cornwall, St Ives, the Cornish Tate, Lamorna Cove, the Minack Theatre, Lands End, Marazion, St Michael’s Mount, Sennen Cove and Poldark country!

The 3 bedrooms (2 with basins) and bathroom are at street level. From the upstairs lounge and balcony, there are wonderful views across the harbour and rooftops to Mount's Bay and St Michael’s Mount. Plenty of books, DVDs, puzzles and games for all ages are available. Our roomy kitchen/dining room has a traditional Cornish range and well-equipped wood-fitted kitchen – the table seats 8 people. Our aim is to be a real “home from home”, welcoming and relaxing. We are always happy to answer any questions you may have.

Our ‘’Dungeon” annexe is at the back of the house and comes with a separate door. The studio room has a double futon, fitted kitchen area and shower room/loo. 

Mousehole is a joy for adults and children alike. At its heart is the tidal harbour, once home to the pilchard fishing fleet – our back external steps lead into historic Keigwin Place some 50 metres from the harbour. High tide provides safe swimming and a sandy beach at each end of the harbour. At low tide, the harbour is perfect for paddling and beachcombing. The nearby rockpools have a safe natural sea-bathing pool for children. 

Mousehole is full of winding paths, picturesque cottages, constantly changing views - many of our visitors find they hardly leave the village. A regular minibus runs to Newlyn and the busy town of Penzance – no need to take the car! At Christmas and New Year the spectacular harbour lights attract visitors from all over the world.
