The Highway Inn is a lovely country inn, steeped in history. It can be found in Burford, which is the gateway to the Cotswolds. Our inn provides beautifully appointed guest rooms as well as a friendly bar and popular restaurant. Cheltenham & Oxford are less than an hour’s drive from Burford, as are many popular attractions

All rooms have been decorated and furnished to the highest of standards, with each room having its own décor and style. They are comfortably furnished with a mix of contemporary and classic pieces. 

We will endeavour to accommodate family groups or parties in adjacent rooms and can provide child beds, cots and dog beds (in our dog-friendly rooms) on request.

Our bar and restaurant are open to both residents and non-residents. Our passion for using local, artisan and quality suppliers extend to the drinks we offer behind the bar. On tap, you’ll find tip-top ales from Hook Norton Brewery with most ciders and lagers being supplied by Cotswold Brewing Co, all made within a 15-mile radius. Alongside this are a good range of interesting boutique gins, vodkas and malts. From small producers to big name vineyards, by the glass or by the bottle, we’ve carefully paired our wines with the dishes on our food menu.

Burford is a historic market town, full of charm, history and surrounded by spectacular scenery. It is a fantastic base for exploring this beautiful part of England and is within comfortable driving distance of Cheltenham and Oxford.
