Black Bull Hotel in Lauder offers wonderful food and excellent accommodation. Located in a beautiful part of the Scottish Borders, we are a great base for visiting a range of superb attractions in the local area.
Our family-owned hotel has 8 gorgeous bedrooms available in the original 300-year-old building. The rooms are brimming with period character and charm, whilst offering modern luxuries. We also have 3 brand new ground floor deluxe double bedrooms with walk-in wet areas in the en suite shower rooms.
You can enjoy a delicious meal and a drink or two in our cosy bistro. Set in our elegant Georgian dining room, we can seat up to forty-five people. We use the best quality local beef, lamb, fish and seasonal game. You can also relax in the elegant surroundings of the Harness Room Bar.
You can enjoy a range of great attractions and activities in the local area, including game shooting, fishing, walking, golfing, shopping and the arts. Directly from the hotel, you can enjoy the Lauder Paths Network and the Southern Upland Way offers some longer walks. The local Thirlestane Castle is a stunning 16th Century Castle in a peaceful meadow and woodland landscape.
