Watermill Cottages offers five comfy old stone cottages, all originally workers' cottages or parts of the watermill, for a self catering holiday. Just a mile inland from Blackpool Sands, Slapton Sands, the Coastal Path and beautiful Start Bay, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the National Nature Reserve of Slapton Ley which our stream feeds. Perfect for winding down, walking, and exploring South Devon and the South Hams.

All five Watermill Cottages are tastefully converted from the former Mill building, barns and labourers’ cottages around the old mill-house, built in the 1750s, by the Gara river. They're a maximum 150 metres' distance of each other and so ideal for combining for larger parties of family and friends. All together we can accommodate up to 23 people.

Each cottage is individual in decor yet each offers spacious, comfortable accommodation, a modern fitted kitchen (with washing machine, microwave, electric oven, kettle, toaster, fridge/freezer), bathrooms with baths and showers and two to three bedrooms. Travel cots and highchairs are available - just ask when you book.

Freshly ironed bed linen is included; please bring your own towels and tea cloths. Each cottage is thoroughly cleaned before you arrive and we supply basic Ecover cleaning products and microfibre cloths to minimise our environmental impact.

Each cottage has wood burning stove plus heating from electric storage and wall heaters so you're warm and cosy whatever the season. There are plenty of logs too, included in the cottage rental.

The area of the South Hams lies in the Southernmost part of Devon in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The coastline is stunning with beautiful beaches and wonderful walking. The countryside is rural, quiet and unspoilt.
