For a more active holiday, there are many beaches with safe swimming to choose from, wonderful walking on coastal, downland and woodland paths and it is a great place for cycling and golf.

The cottage is extremely comfortable, well-equipped and has been completely renovated and redecorated to a high standard throughout. From the lounge, front bedroom and patios you can observe the English Channel and its shipping. The cottage is set back from the street and is very quiet.

Chelsea Cottage can easily be reached by public transport and there is a good network of buses around the Island.

Ventnor has all essential shops as well as a wonderful variety of excellent cafés, restaurants and pubs. Fish landed straight from the boat is on sale daily at the beach - you can watch the fishing boats from the house.

There are beautiful walks from the cottage through the wooded landslip to Shanklin, along the coastal path towards St Catherine's Point, and up to St Boniface Down (the highest point on the Island, which shelters Ventnor from cold northerly winds). Not far away are the beautiful Ventnor Botanic Garden, Isle of Wight Glass and the Donkey Sanctuary. With so many places of interest and activities available on the island it makes a great place for a holiday.
